SSL certificates: free, standard and extended validation

SSL problems?

WordPress still says "Not secure"? We'll fix it.

Having a certificate isn't always enough. The usual culprits are "mixed content" (images or scripts still loading over http://), a missing redirect from http to https, or WordPress settings still pointing at the old address. We find and fix the cause, without breaking anything else.

SSL questions

SSL certificate FAQs

Is the free SSL certificate good enough?

For most small business websites, yes. It encrypts traffic exactly as well as a paid certificate. Paid certificates add a warranty and, with Extended Validation, a verified organisation identity.

Why does my site show "Not secure" even though I have SSL?

Usually because some images, scripts or links still load over http://, or because there's no redirect from http to https. It's a common WordPress fix. Tell us your address and we'll take a look.

Does SSL help my Google ranking?

Google uses HTTPS as a ranking signal, and Chrome warns visitors about sites without it, so every business website should have SSL.
